It’s a Plague of Good Intentions
“Intersectionality”, the belief system by which certain people groups are designated “privileged oppressors” while other groups are deemed unjustly downtrodden and lumped into perpetual “victim status”, has evolved largely into a philosophical cottage industry of mostly fatuous folderol. It’s impossible to keep score anymore. Intersectionality has been dropped upon Western Civilization from the rarified air high atop the Ivory Towers of Academia. The philosophy has become a breeding ground for resentment, jealousy, anxiety, discord, and rage.
One critic recently described it this way:
“Intersectionality is like flypaper….A hefty seven-syllable academic megalith intended to do the work of reform under capitalism, beloved by rich liberal college students and the extremely woke and incredibly online: if it didn’t exist, they’d have to invent it.” –Eleanor Robertson
It has become the philosophical heir apparent of the ticking time bomb of “post-structural deconstructionism” popularized by the post doctoral nihilists of the previous generation. It’s what “progress” suddenly looks like when, with proud, daring bravado you’ve jumped out of an airplane only to realize that you’ve forgotten the parachute.

It’s a Plague of Good Intentions
It’s a tangled web of “Feel Good”…
It’s a Monster Megalith.
One more Idol raised on campus
From a long, long list of myths.
It's a high-falootin' time bomb,
It's sink hole for the "woke"
It's the gospel for the priggish
As Big Brother goes for broke.
It’s a ‘social justice’ quagmire,
It’s a bog, a trap, a snare.
Humanism’s silver bullet,
Well designed to prove we care.
It’s a train wreck in the making,
It’s an Academic’s Dream…
It’s a Plague of Good Intentions
That has sadly picked up steam.
You may read the dissertations
On “Group Victim-ology”…
Never mind your OWN transgression.
Just let groupthink set you free!
It's what Gobbledy now looks like
When it procreates with Gook.
Watch the undercover madness....
Go ahead, friend, take a look!
Hey, it sounded good on paper,
But now: "Rubber, meet the Road..."
Light the fuse and run for cover!
Watch the bedlam soon explode.

Might there be a Final Answer
To this tangled web we weave?
Light to free us from the darkness?
Peace from Truth we might believe1?
Might there be a Narrow Gateway2,
Might there be Amazing Grace3?
Maybe we should search the Scriptures…
Like Bereans…(just in case.)4

1 “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace…” –Ephesians 2:14-15
