Are the Consequences Clear Yet?

Ideas have consequences.

When the heralded and (to some) “inerrant” writings of Alfred Kinsey intruded into the consciousness of the Western world, the fuse was officially lit. The subsequent destructive "Big Bang" bombshell exploded dramatically in the 1960's and the aftershocks are still expanding rapidly today...unabated.

The resulting spiritual debris of Self-indulgent hedonism is widespread and painfully obvious. And the toxic cup of iniquity is growing fuller by the day1…..

Time to buckle up.

"When the music stopped..."

Are the Consequences Clear Yet?

When we “hooked-up”, who-duh-thunk-it
When we “liberated” sex,
That we'd still be making “progress”
With each pornographic text?

When the “All You Need Is Love” crowd
Was ecstatic with delight,
Did we see the train wreck coming
Through the dark, encroaching night?

When Pandora’s box was opened
To the tune of “Let It Be”,
Did Utopiates among us
See the coming tragedy?

Did we see the evolution?
Did we note the slipp’ry slope?
Did we opt for “Well, whatever…”
And abandon future Hope?

Did we recognize the danger?
Or The Madness up ahead?
The delusion?...The confusion?
Western culture left for dead?

With Abortion Rites now sacred,
Pink Hat Habits now abound.
Friend, watch closely....Holy Scripture
Being driven underground.

Are the consequences clear yet
In the night clubs and the pews?
Are we searching for The Truth yet2?
For Eternity’s Good News?

“Despite the promises of utopian hedonism, many youth and middle-aged adults quickly enticed by these did not escape from their addictions easily, if at all. And, to the shock of their fans, the lives of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and numerous other acid trippin' rock musicians also ended quickly like the closing blues beats from one of their most popular songs. Even Max Yasgur himself died just 19 months after the Woodstock Festival of a heart attack at the age of 53.”

1 “And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”
—Genesis 15:16

2 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.’”
—John 14:6-7
