We Cooked Up NEW Revelation!

We do scripture “Re-Imagined”…
(It’s approved by Jezebel.)
Yes, “Repent!” was too distasteful,
So we did away with “hell”.

We would rather hear the gospel
From our friends in OprahLand.
Where the Lukewarm Loosey-Goosey
And the Feel-Good's holding hands.

When we recognized the “Good Book”
Had become,…like…really “stale”,
We decided it was high time
That we compromise with Baal.

Yep, we scrambled up the genders
And we rubbed our crystal ball…
Then we raised ourselves in Pride, sir,
While we disavowed “the fall”.

We just redefined what “sin” is…
Then we wiped it off the screen.
Just like that…VOILA!...We did it!
Now Self-Justified and clean!

We embraced sweet Gnostic Notions,
We threw caution to the wind….
We replaced the Ten Commandments,
With our own progressive spin.

We cooked up NEW revelation,
(It should do us for a while…)
It will surely make us “happy”…
(‘Til it, too, goes out of style.)
