Glory Sown…a Second Chance
“Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…”- Genesis 2: 8-9

Glory Sown…a Second Chance
Sin, the tomb, and outer darkness.
It is finished…Hope is gone.
Dust to dust, forever nighttime.
Death now reigns,…no hope of dawn.

Here! …God’s New Creation Garden.
Here!... Another Sabbath Rest!
Grace poured out for all those mourning…
Yes! The damned may now be blessed!
Here, the Promised Seed of David.
Glory sown,…. a second chance.
Here, the curse of death …defeated!
Hear again true Truth advanced.
Here, the Rose of Sharon blossoms1.
God’s redeeming Grace appears.
There! The Firstfruits2 of the harvest
Yes!...For those with the ears to hear.
Here He is, The Greater Gard’ner3!
Resurrected for the lost.
Mary, run and tell the others!
Grace and Truth kissed at the Cross.
Hear the good news....He is risen!
Have you heard?...Here comes the Son!
Hear the Second Adam calling….
Praise the Lord!…His Kingdom comes!

“In the closing scenes of the book of Revelation, John saw the new earth coming down from heaven. What did it look like? A garden in which the tree of life stands!”- Alistair Begg, Sinclair Ferguson (“Name Above All Names”)

1 Song of Solomon 2:1 , Isaiah 35:1
2 “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.” 1 Corinthians 15:20-23
