Now That Lawlessness is Legal

We're quite done with mere pretending,
Let’s dip down beyond the pale.
Let’s put teeth in what we’re scheming.
Let’s bow to Big Brother Baal.

Let’s all stroke our Idol Pleasures,
Let’s declare it’s all God’s will.
Let’s shake-up our jaded senses
Let's pursue some darker thrills.

Let’s cut out this 'moral' framework,
Stab seared nerve ends back to life.
Let's try more obscene endeavors…

Let’s let Moloch have his say-so,
Let’s begin to fan the flame.
Let’s just re-imagine ‘righteous’.
Let’s play Satan’s deadly game.

Let’s pretend, friend, those aren’t babies.
Let’s pretend they’re ‘accidents’.
Let’s insist they’re ‘tissue masses’
So there’s nothing to repent.

Let’s make sure we teach the children
To abort’s a ‘civil right’.
Let’s make sure they bite that apple
While they sink into the night.

Now that lawlessness is “legal”,
Truth’s down-graded, man…No lie!
Right and wrong is all subjective.
That’s our latest alibi¹.

“Sez who?” now has made a comeback.
Who sez “truth” is really ”real”?
We’ve progressed way, WAY beyond that…
And that’s just the way we feel.
