Evolution's defenders,
The "Inherit the Wind"-ers
Have drawn their hard line in the sand.

Though the theory's quite hollow,
Still the children must swallow
Their soup cooked up pre-biotic.
Yes, the game to defame
God's Word is a shame,
"Good intentions" uniquely Quixotic.

Now the gospel's demoted,
Evo-Priests have all noted
That those miracles simply can't be!
Eyes and minds tightly closed
Revelation's opposed...
Dogmatists barking up a dead tree.

This is Science... and Reason!
Faulty logic's in season,
Lucky mud over time...Man alive!
A Designer?...Oh, please!
Sir, get up from your knees!
In this land only top dogs survive.

While the culture’s kow-towing,
All the children are bowing
At Darwin’s gold Altar of Chance.
It’s the Faith with no head,
Evolution’s the Bread…
And the wine that we sip?

Their Cosmology’s queer,
But their Creed’s crystal clear…

Yes, their Creation Tale
