“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LordGod among the trees of the garden.” – Genesis 3:8
We have been hearing a lot lately about groups and individuals demanding “safe places”. According to Scripture, this is really nothing new. After that original sin, the first man and woman began the original “safe place search”… hiding from their Creator. Hiding from reality.
Times change. Fashions change, but Truth and Reality do not.
And so, the Safe Place Search continues…
The darkness still beckons offering false hope of security to Adam’s fallen clan
There is nothing new under the sun.
"Friedrich Nietzsche predicted that secular people, losing touch with transcendence, would eventually lose a reference point from which to look down and judge themselves. In the end they would lose even the capacity to despise themselves. Thus, because of the 'death of God', they would confuse heaven with happiness, and happiness with health."

When Man proudly seeks his “safe place”
In his grand philosophies.
He’s just re-enacting Adam...
Hiding with him in the trees.
When he turns to his Big Brother
To find answers in this pain.
He will soon, sir, rediscover.
He’s replaying Satan’s game.
If he looks to Mother Nature
For the key to save the day.
If his faith’s in Humanism,
He’ll end up his neighbor’s prey.
Mr. Nietzsche had it right, man.
He saw writing on the wall.
Yes, he recognized the end-game.
When he heard the darkness call.
Mark it down here East of Eden.
You can take it to the bank….
Nihilism will get bloody
When there’s no true God to thank.
"[Nietzsche]....was a very important thinker because he shows to modern western civilization its own dark heart and future...[Nietzsche]...let the cat out of the bag." —Peter Kreeft
