I’m wondering how many remember Emmett Kelly, the forlorn Ringling Brothers circus clown (aka “Weary Willie”), sweeping up the spotlight and then sweeping the light under the rug when the final circus act was over ?
Today, as the Planned Parenthood videos have come to light, that mental image seems tragically and poignantly prophetic.
