Richard Dawkins, influential high priest of religious atheism has written that we are "survival machines—robot vehicles programmed to preserve the selfish molecules known as genes."
Dr. Susan Blackmore, psychologist, physiologist, Richard Dawkins acolyte, and author of “The Meme Machine” writes:
"We may feel as though we have a special little 'me' inside, who has sensations and consciousness, who lives my life, and makes my decisions. Yet, this does not fit with what we know about the brain."
…and:
"We all live our lives as a lie. The memes have made us do it--because giving us the illusion of 'self' helps them to survive and spread."
It used to be that such patented nonsense would be dismissed with a sideways glance, a raised eyebrow and a chuckle. Today, however, in the convoluted realm of radical deconstructionism, such futile thoughts like these are often being considered “cutting edge” profundity.
Today, utter nonsense is being held in high esteem.
As one of Philosophical Materialism’s most influential gurus, Richard Dawkins, has noted:
"Any theory deserves to be given its best shot, and that is what Susan Blackmore has given the theory of the meme."
Such are idol minds hard at work…..
As it is written:
“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened….They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”
—Romans 1: 21, 25
C.S. Lewis, in his book “The Abolition of Man” (1943), peers into the future and prophetically describes a world in which men come to see themselves as animalistic, amoral robots. He characterized this dystopian world as being occupied by empty and soulless beings….reduced as he put it to, “men without chests”, brutes who are essentially virtue-less and lost.
We may have arrived.
There’s no little “me” inside here,
There’s no little “you” in you,
There’s no “him” in that grey matter,
That’s the lie “we” live as true.
It’s just Rebel Robot Logic,
Claiming there’s no “self” around…
Memes of matter spouting nonsense:
“No one’s home!”… (and up is down!)
“Memes” the word that’s calling to us,….
There’s no “you” and there’s no “me”.
P.T. Barnum’s latest sideshow….
Three-ring circus circuitry!
There's no spirit, only matter,
We're a vacant lot at best....
"We"'s reduced to dim illusion,
Meat machines without a chest.
Listen up! The Memes have spoken!
Rebel Robots raising Cain….
Pointless Programs making statements
That somehow “they” think are sane.
Meme-Machines philosophizing
Even though the cupboard’s bare…
Skulls o’ Meat out there pretending
Someone’s out there who may care.
“Self”, you see, is just illusion
On this branch of Darwin’s tree.
“You” and “I”? …..Misguided notions.
“Us” ‘n’ “them” absurdities.
Climb out here on this limb with us,
Make a wish, sir, just pretend!
There’s no “you”, so please don’t panic
When the limb begins to bend.
Look, there’s no self-contradiction,
If there’s no “self” there at all…
When the bow breaks, man, don’t sweat it
There’s no you at all to fall….
Lord, our idol minds are spinning,
Darkness dresses up as light
Nonsense comes disguised as reason
Wrong, you know, might just be right.
Help us see through this deception,
Bring revival once again!
Help us recognize this evil…
Help us see the sin within.
Help us see we need a Savior,
Give us Grace to turn around,
Help us hear the Truth who’s calling,
Shepherd us to Holy Ground.
“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened….They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised.
