Nothing Really Should Surprise Us

…..We believe in Masters and Johnson.
What’s selected is average.
What’s average is normal.
What’s normal is good. …..
We believe that each man must find the truth
that is right for him.
Reality will adapt accordingly.
The universe will readjust. History will alter.
We believe there is no absolute truth
excepting the truth that there is no absolute truth.
We believe in the rejection of creeds.
If Chance be the Father of all flesh,
disaster is His rainbow in the sky.
And when you hear "State of Emergency",
"Sniper Kills Ten", "Troops on Rampage",
"Youths Go Looting", "Bomb Blasts School",
it is but the sound of man worshiping his maker.
—Steve Turner (exerpted from “Creed”)

Some time ago, Richard Dawkins, materialist, former scientist and now prominent full-time advocate for militant Atheism , in an attempt to do justice to his…(ahem)…”scientific” worldview of literal nihilism, made this rather astounding statement:

"The fact that life evolved out of nearly nothing, some 10 billion years after the universe evolved out of literally nothing, is a fact so staggering that I would be mad to attempt words to do it justice."
—Richard Dawkins

More recently, Mr. Dawkins “tweeted” another rather revealing statement about what one ought to do if one were carrying a physically imperfect child. (In this particular case, he was referring to a child with Down Syndrome.)

“Abort it and try again. It would be immoral to bring it into the world if you have the choice.”

Richard Dawkins

In this day and age of vanishing Virtue, disappearing Purpose, and inconvenient throw-away human lives, this point of view is becoming more and more the acceptable norm.

And “The Norm” is declared to be “what’s moral”. Morality by utilitarian consensus. (aka. “Might makes right.”)

No North Star. No Compass . No Rudder…… (If you get my drift.)

Any and all traditional, transcendent, Moral Reference points are being effectively and systematically erased from the conscience of the culture. The “madness” that Dawkins referred to above is reaching full flower.

Ideas have consequences.

Nothing Really Should Surprise Us

Everybody, run for cover!
Richard Dawkins tweets again!
It’s embarrassing…It’s SCARY!
And it never seems to end!

Here's a NEWS FLASH: Richard Dawkins
Says some humans shouldn't be...
And He says that you're immoral
If you deign to disagree.

One might wonder how the air is,
Way up there in Hubris-ville?
Looking down at all the peons
For some more we ought to kill.

Are there Hubris Genes to look for?
Or Delusion Genes to find?
If he searched the Holy Scriptures,
Do you think he’d change his mind?

We're quite staggered by the wisdom,
That evolved inside his head...
It popped up from nothing...(Really!),
Well, at least that's what he said.

Mr. Dawkins' revelations
Really say it all, my friend,
When one's "Bottom Line" is Nothing,
Empty headedness begins.

From the premise he begins with,
("Nothing" there began it all)...
The conclusions he comes up with
OUGHT to be a wake-up call.

But when Nothing is apparent,
And a First Cause isn't here...,
"Nothing" really should surprise us,
When we find it 'tween his ears.

Even still some swear that Richard,
Has a valid a point to make ,
But then Nothing will convince them
He’s a fool, for heaven’s sake!

But, …oh well,… when “Nothing Really”
Finds its way into one’s head,
Tweets like this should never shock us…
Nothing more needs to be said.

Lord, the blind just keep on walking…
They’ve become our “go to” guides,
In this Culture Ditch we’ve fallen…
And it’s where we now reside.

“Good” and “Evil” have no meaning…
Down in this dark ditch today…
Help us recognize the Sin, Lord…
Bring revival…Show The Way.

".... the surprising thing is not that the materialist should meet with such profound resistance. More incredible by far is that a living mind undermining its own sovereign nature in such a dogmatic manner, while declaring it completely reliable in every respect, should expect to be taken seriously at all."
—Iain Carstairs
